Re: [artshow_photo] LR Contact Sheet

I haven't printed actual contact sheets in some time. In these internet, online days, I don't see the need anymore. I usually send clients an online, lo-rez gallery that they can see at their leisure. The screen sizes are bigger than what you can print on contact sheets. The file numbers are on each image. My clients get back to me with their requests and I take it from there. I shoot a lot of events for two local magazines. Both clients take a quick look at the online galleries. they will want the lo-rez images for use on their websites and a hi-rez set for their print usage. I include a spreadsheet list of the names af all the subjects in each image. I either send them to the client's ftp site or run a CD by their office. Short, sweet and simple.

Here's my last Friday's event shoot as an example. When you click on the link, the gallery will open to 'contact sheet' sizes. My clients can click on any image to see a larger size as it would appear in their magazine. I get a call or an email from them shortly after each gallery goes on line and I send them a note:

Subject: [artshow_photo] LR Contact Sheet

I got Lightroom several months ago, but haven't really used it because
I haven't had the time to learn it. I got it for cataloging purposes
mostly, but now I want to make a contact sheet to send to a client. I
was able to make a custom template and print it, but I want to save a
file of the contact sheet to email and then be printed. I tried two
export methods, but each one grouped all the photos into a folder. I
want to create a printable page. Does anyone know how to do that?

Thanks,
Steve
