I'm in Iowa and there are lots of bills that have been introduced in
our Legislature which are terrible and just knee-jerk [emphasis on
the Jerk] ideas. There's a system to deal with them legislatively
and if you don't like a bill, or do like it, you contact your
legislator or whoever it is you need to. This bill, as of today, was
placed on the Calendar under Unfinished Business and is evidently in
the Senate...but not every bill is passed and those concerned about
this should make their views known.
If you care about this issue, either way, own it. People in the
state legislatures, Congress or other elected positions listen to
squeaky wheels.
