The simple way to deal with this is this: if the artist calls it a
photograph and it was produced to some major extent in some sort of camera,
then I go along with the photographer and call it a photograph. Maybe a
wildly over manipulated one.
Some that was produced with no camera involved probably isn't a photograph.
Just my definition anyway.
