I had an EZ Up for the first 3 years of doing shows, although it has some limitations they are pretty good until you decide whether it is worth investing more money. I now have a Finale and I love it, but I wouldn't have put that kind of money into it until I learned if selling was successful for me and whether I wanted to continue. EZ Ups aren't waterproof as you take them out of the box, you have to spray them with waterproofing spray just as you would waterproof a camping tent. Of course it doesn't say that in the instructions anywhere. A large white tarp is also good to have on hand in case the forcast is really bad. Water can pool in the corners and there are solutions for that, search for hula hoops for the answer to that. If the frame buckles, it is usually due to pooling water in the corners, and face it there a few once in a lifetime storms that might cause difficulty but you should be OK with an EZup to start. I'm not an advocate for spending all kinds of money going in if its not necessary, make some money first then make upgrade to equipment decisions.
Good luck!
