Oscar,
I agree that there is a starting point - but a used good tent is way better
as a starting point than a mid-priced new tent that does not offer the
performance. Your ultimate tent purchase will cost you the price of the good
tent plus what you paid for the other tent, and all of the counter measures
to make it workable, and possibly some damaged artwork - besides, when you
buy the premium tent you can always sell it regarless of whether it is a
used tent or a brand new one.
Everyone has a different approach, and there is no right and wrong. All I am
providing is some insight and feedback on the pros and cons of two of the
approaches. Premium tent - more intial expense, harder to set up, but better
in bad weather. Folding tent - more affordable, easy to set up and take
down, usually comes with bag that has wheels, but they leak in a heavy rain
and have more of a tendency to collapse or blow away in really bad
weather.Bottom line, if you value your work, you show your stuff in regions
that are subject to bad weather conditions - why skimp on the tent just to
save a few hundred dollars? Ok, that's another $.02 :)

Gene, I think if you buying an economical tent that means no money for a
good
tent. Also it was mention that it is a starting tent.

If you decide to return it, I would purchase a Trimline or a Light Dome -
both are sturdy, solid, waterproof and likely to last more than 3-4 seasons.
They are considerably more expensive, but having owned an EzUp - I can
attest to the difference in quality.
Customer service with Flourish, the manufacturers of Trimline, is nothing
short of oustanding!. I have no experience with LIght Dome, but I assume
that their popularity reflects their customer service as well.
