I defer, of course, to the experts here but have always thought that
having 2-3 really large [20 x 24 framed] iimages in the display to
catch the eye of passers by and then having matted to buy worked well
= some people want to buy and take home and hang and some will do it
themselves. I also use metal 16x20 framing for some images - but if
a person wanted the image and mat only I'd just take it out of the
frame.
