I'm not a lawyer Larry, but animals have no rights. No more than a doorstop
when it comes to something like this. They are property pure and simple. If
someone runs over your family pet by accident, no matter how much that
critter meant to your family it is only worth it's replacement value.
So taking a shot of a pet is just like shooting a shot of a tree in the
yard.
