Last year I atttended the ASMP Best Practices seminar and picked up Peter
Krogh's Dam Book. The Digital Asset Management plan is to have at least one
non rewritable storage. That would be a DVD or BluRay for most of us.
DVD's are too small now with the file sizes that the cameras produce.
BlueRay one write disks are dropping in price. I've found good quality at
about a dollar each. Offsite is also important. I am checking out
CrashPlan's program where you send in your initial inventory on a hard drive
and then update via the internet.
