I don't think I commented on this on yet but I agree with Larry! My best
sellers are so boring. I think mine tend to not be "beautiful" images but they
seem to strike a feeling. So while a photo has to be technically correct they
need some sort of extra dash of love or something.
So my best sellers are the ones that tell a story.

I find in general these best selling subjects are a waste of time so
I don't tend to follow these threads. Otherwise I would have tried to
close the thread before it got nasty.
It's not the subject as much as it is the skill of the photographer
and the lighting. Any subject can be captured beautifully by a
talented photographer.
All an aspiring photographer has to do is walk a few shows to see
what other photographers are selling. I've always found that my best
selling images were well done photographs that we (my wife and I)
meticulously arranged. You would probably call them still lifes and
they are of subjects no one else is doing.
