I personally would stay away from Logan Mat Cutters. Although their top cutter the 650 is passable it doesn't hold a candle to the Fletcher line of mat cutters.
I cut a lot of custom mats and picked up a used Fletcher 2100 with the squaring arm. If you are patient you can find them on Craigslist for around $400-$450. This is a bit more than the Logan 650. However, if you can afford an extra $100 you will find that the Fletcher is truly a professional cutter. It is extremely accurate (I can set it to within a 1/16") and makes a clean cut. With a little practice you will not get any overcuts or undercuts. I find that I can cut mats quickly and accurately. If you do more than just the occasional mat then consider the investment. I would take a used 2100 over any Logan product any day.
