Let's not forget that some of us have a lot of experience with these
things and just know from that experience that messages that flow into
our main e-mail that we see all day are read in a different way than are
messages that are on a separate dedicated "private garden" environment.
Many of us already have too many of those gardens that we like to monitor.
How many of us have had to add two of those just this month?
Specifically, Art Show Photo having switched from an e-mail discussion
list to a forum and the public opening of Google+.
It's not that one takes more time than the other, but that one involves
the normal flow of information while the other requires dedicating time
to it. Same time, different arrangement, different focus.
