Still having trouble with the MN sales tax thing.
I tried to apply for a MN tax ID using their form online, but the form will not proceed past a certain point, where it asks for the federal employer tax ID number (which I do not have) and my social security number. While the social security number is "required" on the form, the EIN is not.
I assume that I cannot get past this page of the form due to the fact that I do not have an EIN. I do not wish to obtain an EIN as it would cost $50 to do so. I have been doing shows since 2003 and have never needed an EIN.
I emailed them since no one answers the phone, but I am not expecting a response. If they are not there to answer phones then they are not there to answer emails, most likely.
I don't know what to do...
