Re: [artshow_photo] Re: New to the group.

I don't care about 99.9% of people. I want to target people who have extra
money to spend. My target market isn't someone who doesn't have money (good
or bad economic times). The art market isn't the dollar store. It's
Nordstrom. Figure what people who shop at Nordstrom are buying.

Apple sold 8 million ipads in the second quarter of this year. The #1 model
was the most expensive option. These aren't people who buy $300 Dell PCs.

The ipad has taken 1-2% of US internet traffic despite being a minority
device. That's how popular is it.

The ipad and iphone are bought by the same people who spend money on apps
and are highly likely to make a purchase online. Apple's users spend the
most on apps online compared to other smartphone platforms which means they
have the most disposable money right now OR they're the most likely to spend
what money that have (or both).

Why would you ever consider not even being able to show your artwork to
people on any device they have who have money to spend money and are
spending?

This is why a flash only site is bad. Pick your market, implement the
technology that supports them.

How many activex-based websites do you see these days?
