I use www.otherpeoplespixels.com for my website - very inexpensive, easy to
set up and change. You can also have items available for sale on the site
via paypal.
I think that people will generally only buy art from a website that they
have already seen in person (unless you're already a famous artist.) Nearly
all of my website sales are from people who have attended & seen my work
already at a show, or seen my work at a friend's home.
