Yes - they do, certainly they do.
But, try to understand why the do. Google is never doing any for nothing.
This way they can collect more data about you, better profile you, and better target you to pluck more money off you. This is called "profiling", is a powerful technique police and terrorist hunters use to capture their target, Google use the same technique to target you for money. Incidentally, this is why they were kicked out of China, China has laws to protect the individual from this illegal information gathering. It was not at all about "censorship". There are no such protections in the west as I know. Also compare with the recent upheavals about iPhone logging the position of their targets, and companies as Microsoft, Skype, etc. do the same.
Your choice, but be aware of what you are doing, and what they are doing.
