Selling Stock Photography Re: getting started with stock selling

 

RK mentioned www.photographersdirect.com but didn't mention that it's "Fair Trade Stock Photography"  To see what's going on there, take a look at the seller info here -
http://www.photographersdirect.com/sellers/index.asp and note that you pay 20% commission and you deal directly with the buyer to set the price:  "The average fee for an image licensed through Photographers Direct is about 200 dollars, though images have been licensed for up to 5000 dollars."

They also don't allow you to be selling on microstock sites if you're selling on photographersdirect and there's a link telling you why - http://www.photographersdirect.com/sellers/microstock_sites.asp
