Re: [MyOlympus] Sports Mode - revisited

 

What that tells me is that each E30 and lenses have their own idiosyncrasies
when using the Sports mode. I am still waiting for Olympus to answer my
question(s) about that mode and the use of different lenses and live view
vs. view finder.

Thanks for your findings, most interesting. And it does make sense........

I checked with my camera today and this is what I found:

The sports mode focussed but...some what inconsistently when held
vertically.
i.e looking down onto the subject with the camera held vertically down. The
sports mode focusess consistently(relatively) when held horizontally. i.e
looking side-ways onto the subject. The lens bobs around a bit and "seems"
to
be working better when I move(pan?) the camera about vigorously rather than
when
holding it steady(no "lens-bobbing-about" sound)...

And yes it shot two frames in a burst- with H mode being selected.

Does that make sense?
