Yea, this does not should Kosher. You lost me once she wanted you to pay the shipping company.
If you wanted to set up your own shipping arranges for just your images, that's one thing.
London and Seattle are the only 2 cities that should come into play here. NJ, MN, TX. Each one of those are a big red flag.
Figure out how much it would cost for you to ship your work to London and tell her to send you a new check for the $950 plus shipping. If she wont do that then there really was no merit to her offer to begin with and you saved yourself from some kind of scam.
She was probably hoping that you'd pay the shipping company before the check bounced.
