I'm not preaching doom and gloom -- even in the best of times, flea
markets are not where most people go to find "art". Defining goals for
doing shows is probably in order. If making a good living at your
photography is a first priority, then flea markets may not be the best
venue. If, on the other hand, you are looking for inexpensive, close-
to-home places to expose your work to others, then flea markets may
work fine for you.
So defining what YOU want to get out of doing shows is probably a good
first step. If you're clear about that, then working out a plan to get
there is certainly gonna be easier in the long run! Rob's advice is
great: look at ways to put your art, and you, in its best light.
