I have been doing shows for 7 years. I found that in 2007 and 2008 a lot of people who were laid off or out of a job decided to try their hobby full time. They had a camera and some decent pictures, but had no idea what they were really getting into and of course in year 1 you aren't going to make a profit.....and they needed an income and didn't have the funds to make the investments needed so by the next year they were gone. I started out slow, 3 shows the first year and then added each year, invested in equipment as I sold more and still worked full time, so I had no problem sticking it out. As others have indicated I keep growing, working on new ideas and having a great time.
