[artshow_photo] Re: Recent open letter to Camera Manufacturers

Hi Robert:

That is a common problem. Here are a few suggestions if you don't have a camera that has the ability to add a unique prefix, or one that generates a unique set of characters for each camera (my suggestion to camera manufacturers would solve the problems you are having, but you still will have DCIM folders that are the same, so I deal with that below):

1. Use the step-by-step approach I outline here in this article:

2. Set up an automated system that creates a new folder each time you insert a card, then back up the data, then always format the data in the camera.
