Laminated prints: sign the front in archival ink -- use whatever color
will stand out against the background. Usually lower right corner.
I sign canvas on the front, same way, except I leave the title off,
and put the edition number and edition next to the signature. I use
Prismacolor metallic pens for canvas -- on the print it still doesn't
call as much attention as a black marker would. I use both silver and
gold, depending on the image. I also sign the back with pencil,
lightly, so as not to damage the canvas, with name, date, copyright
symbol, title of the piece and edition info.
