[artshow_photo] Re: Year #1 - what I learned!

 

For the most part 'Fine art' shows are higher end and a little better for me.

HOWEVER...don't write off all craft type shows. There are two shows that I do right near where I live that are mainly craft shows. They are HUGE and draw thousands of people and tie up traffic in the town really bad. They both cost around $75-100 for a space (VERY INEXPENSIVE) and are full of mostly craft type things and very little fine art. I do amazingly well at these shows, and since they are so inexpensive and within a 5min. drive for me...you do the math

Its always a good idea to go and visit shows that you think you may like to do. This way you can see what the crowd is like and what the other artists are doing.
