Re: [artshow_photo] How much stock to bring to a show?

 

First time doing a show, no matter how large, it's better to sell
what you have than go home with so much left over inventory that you
don't make a profit no matter what your sales are. Also take into
consideration that you don't have any proven sellers yet and
everything you print may get thrown in the trash over the next year
or so as you gain more experience.

What you need when starting out is enough framed pieces that your
booth looks attractive for people walking by, and a way to display
those same or similar pieces unframed for the majority of the people
who prefer to buy without frames.

I think you may also find that when the same image is displayed in
multiple sizes, smaller sizes take away from sales of larger sizes,
which may not be a bad thing if you have proven sellers that you can mass sell.
