Beth is a recent art school grad and still on good terms with several faculty and staff members. Because of that she's able to still use the print labs. Free use of the printers, free ink, all she needs to do is bring paper. Now this arrangement wont last forever, and as we get further into the semester the print labs will get busier and she may not be able to find a free printer.
So, we've been looking into buying a printer. I've mainly been looking at the Epson Stylus Pro 3880. The main reason I haven't bought one yet is that it's a little cost prohibitive.
I've been looking at the Epson Stylus Photo R2880. This is a financial decision more than anything else. Plus side, it supports rolls, I can get it for under $500, and with free shipping. My main concern, other than that it can only do up to 13", is that it's not listed as a "Pro" model. Can anyone tell me what that means exactly? Does it have to do with the quality of ink? The workload it can support?
