Enjoyed meeting you at Cottonwood. I've participated in about 125 shows in the last 5 years and I may have hit 2K in print sales 7 or 8 times. Less than 6.5% of my shows. I realized early in my art show career(2002)that I will never make any decent money or earn my living at this unless I figure out how to sell the large and expensive pieces of my work. I still feel that way. It is really hard to have a 5K show if $350 is the highest priced piece you offer. You should also remember that top rated shows don't necessarily give you top rated sales. Every artist needs to figure out what shows work for them and which shows don't. I've done very good at several shows which aren't even on the radar of Sunshine Artist or the AFSB.
If I've had 20 sales in 2 days I have probably had a good show.
