Personally I would avoid Chrysler mini vans. They are great vans in most respects, but with one fatal flaw - bad transmissions. Just Google Chrysler minivan transmission.
Years ago I purchased an 85 Caravan, and went through two transmissions (out of warranty, of course). I then went with an Astro, which I loved, but it finally gave out after 300,000+ miles. I then went with a 96 Caravan, figuring surely after 10 years Chrysler has figured out how to manufacture a reliable transmission. That was an bad and expensive assumption, since I had to rebuld, and then outright replace, the out of warranty transmission.
I have zero confidence that they have now figured out how build a transmission.
They're great vans in all other respects, and those poeple lucky enough to get one with a good transmission swear by them. But you are rolling the dice.
