Here is where my ignorance comes. If you have the file set up how much it will
change when you print. I know it depends paper to paper.
The only control I want is to match my screen but with the Imac I can see more
detail in my screen in the shadows that I get in from the print. Nothing new
since I always see more detail in shadows of the neg that what paper can
produce.
I need to keep the cost down b/c our market wont allow to charge a lot if my
prints cost a lot.

Depends on 2 questions:
1. How much control do you want over the whole process?
2. How much time are you willing to spend on printing?
Me, I do my own printing. I come from a darkroom background so control means a
lot to me. I select my papers by trying ones I read about, I do my own profiles,
I will reprint images that don't look "right" and occasionally drive myself
crazy doing so :-)
