Several years ago I stopped backing up to CD's and never used DVD's because
of negative reviews about writable DVD's. I have hundreds of CD's indexed
and have checked them from time to time. All seem to be working however
finding anything is time consuming. Some time in the future I may tray
Blu-Ray when the media comes down in price. For now I am using 2 TB Western
Green drives in a Thermaltake carrier. The drives are plug and play and
exposed. They run just slightly warm not hot like earlier drives. I just
store the drives in a bookcase but can put them in a camera bag to run if
needed. Backup is done using Acronis True Image.
