Re: [artshow_photo] Re: Canvas and framed work protection

http://www.twikart.com/index.html is the link for the corner protectors
Uline is googleable.
The storage boxes are custom made, using cabinet grade hardwoods. I carry 4 in the bed, approx 24" X 36" X48.Holds all the canvas' and larger matted prints, small framed prints. The browse bins app. 12" high, same width and length with dividers inside that hold the 11 X14 matted prints. Pop the lid, set 'em on the bottom boxes (which are on rollers) and good to go.
I did this with a trimline and mesh walls, the bags fit in the back as well. Used a roof rack and carrier for extra stuff.
No extraneous boxes or bags to deal with, no plastic storage containers.

Very interesting... Sounds very well thought-out and well engineered. Could you post a few photos of what you're describing and give us a link?

This year I added plastic corner protectors to the mix. The canvas at 20X30, the bag at 24X36.I use a 1" stretcher bar and found 1.25" plastic corners in bulk. They slip over the outside of the bubble wrap and friction holds then nicely (you can add a quick shrink wrap as well). They allow a bit of space in storage, the bags serve double duty as protection and the clients love the security when they buy the piece.
