I'm using a 2T internal raid array, plus an external 2T array as well,
plus I have Carbonite.

It took Carbonite several weeks to complete my initial backup, but it
seems to do pretty well finishing up most photo backups in a day or two
as I'm adding new stuff (30 to 60 or so gigs at the time when I'm
shooting). I've had no complaints.

I off-load from the camera into the first array, then backup to the 2nd
when that's done. I don't check Carbonite very often, but when I do,
it's usually caught up the next day or so.
