I never personally had one that big, I did have a full size drive that was
shoebox size. I think it was 10 MB. And the PDP mini that we had for some
years had a drive about the size of a big bread box, I thought it had 10
inch platters but I'm not sure. I can't recall the size on that one but it
was like 1 MB or something.
I recall an article in the newspaper bragging about the Amdahl 360 mainframe
on campus being upgraded to----1 MB!!
