No it isn't, if you look at the history of the term it just means inkjet
period. It was a term coined for the original IRIS inkjets because someone
thought it sounded better than 'inkjet print'. The puffed up artisy crowd
seize on the term....it is French after all.
And if you know what the French colloquial meaning was, you would never use
it. A hint think of a rude meaning for 'spurt'.
