In addition to Larry's suggestions, BE ABSOLUTELY SURE that the corner is
not what I call a "false corner". That is, check the festival map or lacking
that, ask the promoter if the corner is indeed a corner where two walkways
meet that will get foot traffic.

Some promoters leave an empty booth in the middle of a row thus creating two
"false corners" with no traffic flowing through them. These empty spaces are
often used as "rests" by the crowd and this can hurt sales because the
crowds will stand in front of your "extra" wall display thus eliminating the
advantage you paid for.

Real corners are well worth it in my experience and I always pay for them,
but I have seen too many of these false corners created just to get the
extra 10% out of artists.

WOW - never considered the "open booth" strategy. Maybe it's not a good idea
as my work is large so I really would have less pieces to show off. hmmmmmm
Something to think about.
