Lots of great ideas for weights. Wish I had them when I lost my tents.
Lost two at an event where I was on asphalt, so I tied them to a 8ft high cyclone fence line. Wind took them up and over the fence and completely wrecked the frame. Luckily no one was hurt. Last one the frame was damaged in a rain storm.
These were the cheapies from Costco. They worked fine but couldn't hold up to bad weather. So if anyone who has those same type of tents is interested in Canopy tops or walls...I have plenty ;-).
