PPI - DPI....Pixels per inch, Dots per inch. Pixels in relation to using mainly in visual context, projection, looking at things in photoshop etc. Dots when images are transferred into the print production process to print on regular (old days) type printing presses.

The size- if you have a 8 x 10 image size at 72 DPI-(dots per inch), 72 PPI -(pixels per inch), usually it is used in screen images for websites, in relation to what is requested.
They can still take an 8 x 10, reduce it to a smaller size (say hypothetically) like a 3 x 5 inch, and the 72 DPI/PPI will now be increased. You've got more dots/pixels to go around because the image area is smaller...Not sure if this makes sense.

Nor, am I sure what they are teaching the Arts folks in the University/College areas today. Seems like when photoshop took off (twenty years back...I'm old) and then things were not done the old way, and then all the youngsters went to the computer in graphics---some of the technology was left behind a bit.

Call the show- ask questions, and if in doubt, put a copyright ghosted image on your image to protect it.

I hope I did not confuse anyone. And, if I am wrong- then my old brain cells are failing me.
Please, forgive anything I might have left out. Send it, with a RETURN postage CD/DVD container, and REQUEST they send the darn thing back to you.

Common sense goes ALONG way....

Thank you.
