Re: [artshow_photo] ImagePrint

I have found that the print quality from ImagePrint is superb compared to that
from Photoshop and Lightroom, although both of those will give very good
results. One has to care about the little details in the print to notice a
difference, like the gradations of blacks in the shadows or the subtle
smoothness of a gradation of color that is fading out. The engineer in me
doesn't see that ImagePrint is worth the cost, but the artist in me is delighted
with it.
Perhaps it is just the profiling which is IMHO superior to other RIP's I have
seen and even the Adobe products. Certainly the interface is very 1990's and
heaven help you if your computer and printer get cross-way, because then you
just have to restart the computer and go at it again.
These are obvious headaches but they don't outweigh the superb output from
ImagePrint, again IMHO.

It is great software although sometimes I find it frustrating and CS5 is
better than ever for printingŠImageprint just seems to have superb
profilingŠ
