Call me whacky but I encourage people to use my imags as backgrounds. If
someone is going to steal something on Facebook and print it from a 72dpi image
- they probebly are not going to buy anything anyway. Plus by telling "friends"
that I don't mind it sends good will and could actually HELP sell an image.
Part of selling is being likable and trust worthy - I give them a "gift" and
they return the favor. Seems to work.

I have done plenty of "good printing" at 180 ppi or less. In some
cases as low as 120, and prints as large as 20x30 using Epson
printers. Some labs may not be able to print below 300 ppi, but
certainly not all. I'd stick with Larry's advice.
