I'm sure someone on the forum can address this issue, most likely Larry.
Last evening I had images being judged in a competition and the projector
cropped off 15% or more of the images severely impacting my images.
I noticed some other entrants' horizontal images were cropped quite a
bit on the right side so perhaps mine was even cropped on the right too.
I didn't notice that since I was more concerned with my vertical image.
I've posted a comparison of what was projected on the screen based on
my recollection, and beside it is the original image as transmitted to
them. The link to it is below. You'll notice the cropping makes it a very
clumsy image without the bottom of the chair and the floor with its
reflections showing. This cropped image scored very poorly by the
judges and I believe it was a much better image than the score it got.

I submitted my images sized in compliance with their specification of
1920 pixels on the longest side. The explanation from the guy running
the laptop and projector was that there is a mismatch between the two
that causes the problem and there's nothing that can be done about it.
I've stated to the organization that this problem must be corrected or
the competition will come down to which photographs are composed in
such as way as to be relatively unaffected by the cropping.
Any ideas what's wrong? Is it a hardware issue, software issue or just
operator error?
Thanks.
