Re: [artshow_photo] Projection Problems

First of all, was the program that was sending the images to the
projector set to "fit to screen" or show full size images? Showing
full size images would have cropped anything larger than the monitor
resolution of the device sending the images to the projector. If the
program was set to "fit to screen" than the projector was set
incorrectly, but I suspect it was the first problem.

The most common resolution of digital projectors is 1024x768 but in
the past year or two, higher resolution projectors have become
available. Is it possible the person running the slide show was using
a wide screen laptop and the height was lower than the resolution of
the projector? Fit to screen would have solved that problem. Not
knowing what software they were using, I recommend using ACDSee as an
image viewing program. It defaults to fit to screen. And the aspect
ratio of the projector needs to be set to match the laptop aspect ratio.

But the biggest problem was that the equipment wasn't tested in
advance to make sure everything worked as it should.
