We are cherry picking the good frames from AC Moore (like Michaels) then, using alpha mat (acid free) and acid free foam core, we put together the frame with a craft paper backing with screw eyes and wire.
We are talking about going more upscale and ordering custom moulding and custom cut glass which would of course require a raise in prices.

The frame, mat, hardware and backing alone costs me about $50 for 8 x 10 and 11 x 14, but it looks great, like something you'd see at a gallery. If anyone knows of a source to get this level of frames for less, I'd love to hear about it.
