[artshow_photo] Re: Columbus Open Jury Review

Hi Larry,
I noticed when you mentioned booth issues being discussed in your review you said "if photographers only showed gallery wrapped canvases in their booth instead of photographs framed under glass." I am assuming that this was a negative if none of the photographs were framed. A few shows have addressed the issue of photos on canvas in their rules and don't allow them. I think that many more have unofficially addressed it in the jury rooms. I am constantly looking at shows web sites to see what photography has been juried in, even if I haven't applied to the show. I am also familiar with many of the photographers and how they display their work. Very few photographers selling work on canvas get in the top shows and the ones that do have probably sent in booth shots with only framed work on the walls.
