I was thinking about doing limited edition prints. Do people think
that that's a good idea? 90% of my prints are for gifts (usually, the client buys two.. one for themselves and one for the other person). A lot of times, they just buy the original, if they are collecting my works.

For signing/indicating limited edition, where should I put it?

Doug - There is a wide-spread perception (arguable not very accurate) that limiting your prints adds value and goodness to them. I belong to the camp that does not number prints. Which ever way you choose, you need to play by the rules. And if you choose NOT to limit your prints, you simply do not apply to shows that require it. Also, be advised, should you decide to limit your prints, that shows often require limited editions under a given amount. With paintings I have no idea on how large an edition should be. With photography, an edition of 200 should be safe for most shows.
