That's a common theme on John Nack's blog. They want to drop old features
and change the GUI but the huge user base is very conservative and resistant
to any change.

I cannot believe that they are going to make LR a full featured subset of PS
tho since it would kill their sales of PS by photographers. Now they have
an almost ideal world, from their standpoint, of getting many photographers
to buy both.
