An AZHP officer replied over at RV.Net . He said there are about 25 special
officers assigned to commercial enforcement. The rest of them don't do it
unless they see something outrageous. He said he doesn't even know what a
log book looks like. He pointed out that people like you really are in
business and your vehicle does come under the AZ commercial code. But so far
as he knows they won't stop people unless the vehicle or trailer is marked
by some sort of signage, so you just seem to have been selected by the
fickle finger of fate. Something attracted the cops attention.
I obviously I would not tempt fate by having signage on my tow vehicle or
trailer. And probably not just in AZ.
