To me when I see 45% are new it tells me that they can not keep artists and it's
a bad show! But it depends how that 45% is made up. Is it because people are
not wanting to be in the show after 1 year?
I've been in shows with 95% new Artists! and after the show I could see why!
But on the flip side I understand what hellashot is saying. You have to do
your due diligence. This year I 'm only doing shows with websites that have who
the artists are and I can get a general idea of what the show is all about.

There is a well known well rated show near me called Cain Park. They advertise
that about 45% of artists each year are first time artists at their show. They
probably do this to keep buyers coming back every year to see new artists. If it
were the same artists like you suggested, the show would get stale!
Do some research on show marketing brochures before making assumptions and
spouting off here.
