OH HEAVENS...I wouldn't do that! I'm speaking of the under-mat with a matching
color to the image...exactly. And, for this set, I do have some that have white
top mats and some that have black top mats...it just depended on what I thought
worked better.
My actual true favorite on almost any image is a black top-mat and a soft
blue-grey under-mat...

You'll never go wrong by matching the white of your printing paper, be it bright
white or a natural off-white. If you have to have some color, use a second mat
underneath with a stronger color chosen from the image.
Please - NO brightly colored or color-coordinated mats on top. Nothing says
"Rank talentless amateur" faster (in my humble opinion, of course).
