"and a dollar for the Governor" would be a very very bad thing to say where I
am! Especially after what happened a few hours ago!
However - I used to say that but not for the smaller amounts! It seems everyone
has $20 in their pockets - espicially teenagers who oddly buy a lot of my
smaller 8x12 prints! But coming up with an extra $1 would be breaking another
$20.

I always collect tax, and it's become second nature to say, "that'll be twenty
dollars for me, and a dollar for the Governor", and everyone laughs, and pays.
Light and laughter,

I've noticed in recent years that if I try to collect tax on top of a cash
sale, people look at me as if I have two heads, or they say, "I don't have
any change."
