Selling Stock Photography Re: Legal Lesson Learned

 

"Our web copywriters were under the impression that images on the Web without any copyright notices were "public domain" and therefore free to use. Naive? Yes."

LOL. Sounds like they got what they deserved. I doubt someone in the biz is "under the impression". They probably just got busted doing something stupid.
