Hi,
I live in Oakland, California. I am a retired teacher and have been photographing seriously for 3 years now. I have built up a very nice body of work. I have been selling occasionally at coffee shop shows and want to expand my business. A friend is selling a nearly new 10 panel pro panel booth for a sizeable discount so this would be the right time to buy if I decide to jump in.
But I wonder how well photography is selling around northern California at art shows these days? I shoot outdoor, nature, travel, architecture. You can click to my Zenfolio website linked below to see what I do.
I also wonder how hard it really is to become admitted to juried shows and what the best way to start would be. If you were me, which show(s) would you apply to first? Or, is there a list of non-juried shows around my area?
